This site, me and points in between
Where, why and how?
"The details of my life are quite inconsequential ... Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with a low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard really." (Wikiquotes)
I'm Paul-Michael Agapow and this is my website. In Italy, I'm apparently "a repository of video art on the border between performance, work and virtuality", but in real life I play an annoying Australian. This site collected some of the products of my life: research, software, writing, and information others might find useful.
Infrequently asked questions and answers:
- My phone number and address have been removed due to marketers. Also, due to shifting circumstances and spam, many of the previous email addresses I have had are no longer operational. If you'd like to brave the industrial spam filters, agapow (at) agapow.net might work. (Email address obsfucated to deter spam harvesters). I'm always interested in hearing of jobs, employment or collaborations.
- The last time I looked, I had an Erdos number of 4.
- An obsessive list of what I'm reading, seeing, or listening to lately
- A list of publications
- The colophon for this site
Elsewhere
Some tracks I've left elsewhere on the web include:
- Some contributions to in the exceptionally useful (but increasingly eccentric) Wikipedia":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. Due to collaborative nature of the palimpsest-like Wikipedia, the current state of the indicated articles may contain little or none of my writing, But some highlights include: Zoé Oldenbourg, Alternative country, St. Dymphna, Classical swine fever
